Fresh Latex

Meaning of Fresh Latex

Fresh latex is a white liquid resembling coconut milk or milk,

with a slight viscosity. It has a unique pleasant smell and is

neutral in pH, with a negative charge. This requires the use of a positively charged substance to coagulate the latex.

Fresh latex, after being tapped, begins to deteriorate after about 4

hours. The change can be observed as the latex, while still fresh,

is fluid and disperses well in water.

การนำไปใช้ :

The fresh latex obtained is processed into two forms: Concentrated Latex – This is the raw material for manufacturing various rubber products

such as rubber gloves, medical equipment, electronic parts, balloons, etc.

Dried Rubber – This includes products like smoked rubber sheets, air-dried rubber sheets, rubber blocks, and crepe rubber, among others.

Steps to Make Concentrated Latex – Skim Rubber

  • Add chemicals to preserve the latex.
  • Use a centrifuge to separate the head and tail of the latex.
  • Direct the latex into tanks (the bottom of the tank is lined with chemicals).
  • The "head" goes into the tank as concentrated latex.
  • The "tail" becomes skim rubber.
  • Wait for the latex to fill the tank and add more chemicals according to specifications.
  • Cure the latex for about 26-30 days, or longer.

Smoked rubber sheets, or RSS 3 (Natural Rubber Ribbed Smoked Sheet No.3), are raw rubber sheets

that are smoked in a rubber-smoking facility to dry thoroughly. These sheets are then sorted and graded according

to quality standards, which include contamination, air bubbles, color consistency, and foreign particles.

การนำไปใช้ :

Used in the production of parts that require high flexibility and impact resistance, such as

truck tires, aircraft tires, and machinery mounts.
